Civic Build Co Pty Ltd was founded in 2026 by three directors who set out to build a construction company purpose-fit for the way councils and government agencies actually procure work.
Formed with a clear purpose
Civic Build Co is a newly established company. Saad Khan, Chris Gatt and Erkan Erten came together to form a dedicated construction business rather than continuing to operate independently — combining close to 40 years of individual experience across construction, civil works, compliance, and planning & environmental approvals under one company built specifically to tender for and deliver local council and government contracts.
As a new entity, Civic Build Co is building its own project history from the ground up. The experience our directors bring individually — including hands-on renovation trade work across bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and full home projects, alongside civil, remedial and safety compliance experience — is what stands behind every tender we submit, and every job we take on.

The Directors
Every project at Civic Build Co is directly overseen by one of our three founding directors.
Saad Khan
Leads client and stakeholder relationships, tender submissions, and overall project delivery. Saad also brings over 8 years' experience as an environmental planner and approvals specialist on major government infrastructure projects — spanning water, energy, transport, health and education — including roles with organisations such as Transgrid and WaterNSW. His background covers both pre-approvals (securing development consent, environmental impact assessments and statutory planning advice) and post-approvals (environmental compliance, management plans and ensuring projects run to their conditions of approval). This adds a further layer of confidence for councils and agencies evaluating our capability, alongside our core construction, remedial and plumbing delivery.
Chris Gatt
Runs site operations and works scheduling, ensuring jobs are planned properly and delivered to the standard set out in the scope of works.
Erkan Erten
Manages WHS compliance, quality documentation and the administrative side of tendering, keeping every project audit-ready.
